Introduction
Many know me as a developer or consultant, and while my legal name is Alberto, I’ve always preferred to go by Beto. I started in this industry when the internet was a very different place, moving to the beat of Flash. Today, after more than a decade and a half of transforming ideas into digital realities, I felt it was time to open the doors to my own space: a place to showcase my work and, above all, a playground for the new technologies emerging every day.
The Long Way Home: From “I’ll Never Code Again” to Total Passion
My career path hasn’t been a straight line. After spending four years studying Systems Engineering at the UTN, I walked away from the degree convinced that I would never touch a line of code again. However, fate led me to the old Macromedia, where I got certified across their entire suite. That reignited the spark.
I went on to study Multimedia Design, and my first job in e-Learning finally made me fall back in love with programming. I went from wanting to quit everything to mastering new languages and eventually teaching web development in institutes for nearly six years. That rediscovered passion is what drives me today to master C#, build games in Unity, and explore Python.
A Global Journey: From Mendoza to the World
Over these 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of being part of industry-leading companies, facing large-scale technical and human challenges. my time at Belatrix and Globant was fundamental. At Globant, I had the responsibility of leading multicultural teams with talent from India, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina—an experience that taught me to manage not just code, but global visions and methodologies.
More recently, my journey through companies like Blankfactor, Nearsure, and Patagonian has allowed me to further refine my ability to operate in high-pressure environments. I’ve worked with diverse technologies like Drupal and Joomla, while specializing deeply in the WordPress ecosystem. This experience has taught me that programming isn’t just about writing code; it’s about understanding the business logic and scalability behind every solution.
